Rapid response services and keyholder systems specialist Boing UK, which works in partnership with police services and other agencies across the UK, launched its new website – www.boinguk.com - on Monday, February 9, 2009.
Founded in 1999 with headquarters at Wymondham in Norfolk, Boing UK provides a comprehensive range of call-out services acting as a one-stop shop for all non-police emergencies, saving the police time, effort and, as a result, public money.
The new user-friendly website reflects the growing demand for the company’s services. Its Service Response Centre operates 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week providing rapid response solutions to non-emergency calls, covering services from boarding and glazing to contractor call-outs by local electricians, plumbers and a wide range of registered tradespeople who are police approved and trusted, including specialists such as police surgeons.
It currently works with 19 police services countrywide, as well other agencies from local authorities, border control, fire and rescue, customs & excise, and inland revenue, to charities such as Help the Aged and Age Concern and those supporting the victims of crime.
Police or agency staff either put a request through from their own switchboards to an 0800 number, or members of the public can contact Boing direct by calling 0845 0678 999 (calls charged at a local rate).
In addition, the company operates keyholding databases for six police forces – Cleveland, Humberside, Lancashire, Norfolk, Staffordshire and West Midlands. These Keyholding Registers contain the names and contact numbers of registered keyholders for business premises and private homes. One call to Boing enables the emergency services to alert the keyholder and thereby gain quicker access to a registered building in an emergency situation such as fire or flood, potentially preventing further structural damage and even saving lives.
The new website is aimed at both present and potential business clients and members of the public and gives full details of Boing UK’s services with contact numbers for further information and downloadable forms for joining the Keyholder Registers in areas where they operate.
